Right, I am actually enjoying this game! a lot.

I am playing on Normal mode and to be honest. I thought I did good as I got a gold statue on my first chapter. But ever since, I been getting stone statues!

I'm on chapter VIII (8 who don't know their roman numerals!!) out of 14 (if I read correctly).

What happens when I complete the game? As to be honest, the stuff in the shop at the end of each chapter are beyond expensive, there is no possible way I will be able to buy even half the stuff before the end of the game.

So, am I missing something?

You can replay levels at any point and you keep halos earned every time :)

I only purchased one relic thing. The one that enables witch time on impact. Was really cheap and made the rest of the game so easy.

There is a way to get millions of halos once you complete the game by replaying a certain boss with certain perks activated. Then you can buy everything else very quickly - cant remember but google is your friend!

I never paid much attention to the level rating because it didnt affect achievements and for a first play through you wont know what to expect and the best stratagies for each situation so just carry on enjoying the ride!

When you complete the game you can play the harder settings, one of which disables witch time.

I am fed up with the game and going to sell it now!

How come? I was really surprised at the negative comments that people have given it as I enjoyed it more than any other game I have played this year :)

That's so boring IMO. One of the things that make the combat system fun is witch time.

Bayonetta ia easily one of the best games released this gen. It's brilliant :) Treat the first play through on normal as a tutorial - get to grips with the combat basics, unlock items/weapons etc - then move on to hard and beyond and witness gaming greatness!

It's also one of the few games that it's well worth buying the official guide for - it is ridiculous how much there is to the combat. God of War is gaming with training wheels in comparison.

If you try and get the Golden Discs then Rodin will repay you with new weapons, this means that at times you don't need to buy new weapons to help your progress.

The only reason I used the Halo boosting battles was to get a few achievements towards the end of the achievements.

If you can finish this on its hardest setting it will make you feel so good :D

Awesome game to be fair!
Really tough at times, awesome story (in the end), great art/gfx style and who doesn't love a hot woman in leathers? ;)

Yea, I got 2 weapons so far, thought there would be more tbh by now. Aside from the AI weapon drops.

But thanks for the advice guys! I will go back to it and enjoy it, which I am. I must admit, I started googling around last night for tips... And as said, the depth in the combat scared me, I have only touched the tip of an iceberg lol.

dont worry. im equally as bad. i've just bought it, and get stone statue in most act's. but have had a couple gold and silver. some of the faster moving enemies are damn hard to kill, even on normal lol. i got my ass handed to me by those two that come at you (i think they're called grace and glory) i think as i've got older, my reaction time is slowing down lol.

edit: one of the best games this gen for me too. i haven't played something thats kept my attention to finish the whole game. (but this has :p )

Haha! Yea, the 2 things with the claws... Hate them, I am constantly shape shifting into a panther, running around and attacking. Trying to catch out one of their attacks is near on impossible lol. Do love it when you do manage to dodge attacks and which time comes on. Makes you feel like a ninja with perfect reactions lol.

i havent tried shape shifting yet (other than when you have to do it)...must try that later. :p i found a couple of the mini bosses to be quite hard, specially the one in that dream cutscene with the two dragon heads. took me near enough 10 goes to kill it ;/

Anyone who owns this should pick up the Limited Edition Official Guide book its only £14 and is one of the best strategy guide books I've seen.

Agreed. It's massive and beautifully put together. If you think the game was complex before seeing the guide, get ready for a shock!

this game is emmense, properly one of the best games iv ever played and completing it was a blast.

i found items in the shop really expensive until i completed the game (but thats the point i think, as some are like OP gaurd breaks etc), so just brought as much life and regen as i could.

you do get better at it, tbh i found the earlier chapters some of the hardest until i really figured it out, especially that early 2headed dragon boss (still one of the hardest in the game imo), the only enemies i really had difficulty with were the lion type ones (fire and ice???).....

anyway great game dont be put off , i think i completed it in a week which is great for me as normally it takes me years lol, thats how good the game is!!!

Just wait until you get a bit more into the game, then you meet Gracious and Glorious ;) That's the only two mobs that I struggled with.

What's your guys favourite weapons? I used the claws throughout the rest of the game and the katana on some major bosses/mobs!

my favorite weapon is the kitana. awesome thing. cuts through anything no problems at all. the claws were a bit "meh" after using the kitana for so long, and the speed of the attacks.

I am not a fan of the claws, too slow. Love the katana.

Just did the chapter on the motorway... Unique, will give it that lol. The bike handling was fun, zipping between cars and explosions.

I am thinking of picking this up later but the PS3 versions seems to have got some mixed reviews. Does anyone know if they patched the issues, or if they are they really that much of an problem if one hasn't played the 360 version?
