Bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbeep!

you lot should keep a list of beep codes near your PCs, in the office here at work ive got a list:

no beeps: a short/no power/bad CPU or MB/ loose peripherals
one beep: OK
two beeps: POST/CMOS error (although i ocassioncly hear pcs go beep beep as the start and there fine but meh)
one long beep, one short: motherboard problem
one long beep, two short: Video problem
one long beep, three short: video problem
Three long beeps: keyboard error
Repeated long beeps: Memory error
Continuous hi-lo beeps: CPU Overheating

how accurate they are for different motherboard models im unsure but its been very helpful to me in the past :)

Unplugged keyboard, it still does it.....

Reseated the RAM, and cleared the CMOS (again), still nothing...

I have still yet to try another PSU as it's in another rig... I also can't find my intel stock cooler, but I'm gonna have a good hunt on the weekend, and hopefully it should turn up...

It's definitely lot of short beeps (bbbbbbbeep) as opposed to 1 long beep (beeeeeeeeeeep), but I could grab an MP3 of it with my iRiver if that would help?

Have you tried one stick of ram? Then tried the other stick?

One faulty stick will fail the POST and make a beep error.

Need to narrow down each part, and try each part in separate slots.

well i'd make sure all the power cables are plugged in to the mobo properly, also try the other PSU. if the manual says it is a power failure then those will probably identify the error.

have you tried unplugging everything except the bare essentials to make sure you aren't overloading the psu?
