A big long rant about Laptops are inferior to Desktops. He makes some good points to be honest, some blatently obvious but still.
 
Haha, i like the question after that one about laptops being cheaper than mobile phones.
The guy just says 'hmmm, yeah... anyway' and doesn't answer anything!

No he really doesn't. He says you can't upgrade laptops...yes you can. He says you can't custom build laptops...yes you can. He says laptop CPUs are inferior to desktop CPUs...no they're not. He says the Eeepc is only usable for web surfing...no it's not (I use it for most office tasks).

Frankly the guy sounded like he didn't have a clue what he was talking about and thought if he chucked around some acronyms people might take him seriously.

I did say he made some good points. The rest were obvious or idiotic I agree.
 
Yup, these days other than graphics cards and upgradability they are no worse.

same mobo/chipset, very similar cpu, maybe slightly lower clock/cache but this is usually for thermal reasons. Same Ram, 3.5" hard drives go upto 500GB.

Even me who has a £200 + computer case will admit if you don't need graphical prowess a laptop is fine, is almost as good. The fact that it is portable kills all downsides.

I honestly think these huge PCs we have now will be a thing of the past in a few years. As soon as intergrated graphics catches up slightly.

I can just about play WoW on my eee p. But then the Atom is a bit underpar imo and the GMA950 isn't the best, but if it was 15" it would be fine. core2Duo and 8600GT will play most stuff but Crysis. :P

Love the way he said "PCI, AGP, PCI-E or Graphics Card" Didn't know much else went into an AGP slot tbh lol.

Also like it when he said you can't upgrade your laptop montitor to a more portable flatscreen... Have his laptops come with CRT's or something? hah
