BBC F1 Videos

You're welcome dudes, I deleted most of my bookmarks for them now ^_^

With regards to the 08 Brazil, the commentary was talking about Glock, so it was kinda hard to miss for me, however that last lap was sooooo intense though!

Just looked through my PC and I have the whole event, result! - might upload the last few laps (might be Youtube already)

Watching that then.. It was pretty clear to me that Glock let Hamilton past ;)

Another Hamilton **** up though tbh. Letting Vettel through on Kubica like that :p

Glock did let Hamilton past though didn't he? Wrong tyres and just trying to stay out of the way while keeping it out of the barriers until he crossed the line.

And there needs to be a 'Download All' button!

A quick google reveals that it was McLarens intention to let Vettel past so Hamilton could save his tyres and not 'race him' and then to catch up glock and pass him.. Who knows :p

Wow, it's 2008 again.

Ah, this old chestnut again! Glock was on slicks on a wet track. He'd gambled that he'd make it to the finish before the rain got too heavy. Toyota hedged their bets and Trulli was brought in for full wets.

The rain got heavy much more quickly than anyone anticipated and Glock was hopelessly slow for the last two laps. As you may remember, the grooved 'slicks' were much worse on damp/wet track than 'proper' slicks, due to their harder compound.

As this video shows:

Glock was REALLY struggling for grip on the wrong tyres for the conditions. He had NO idea where Hamilton was in relation to him on the track. McLaren DID count on Hamilton catching and passing Glock and thereby retaining a Net fifth place despite allowing Vettel through as TaKeN says.

It's funny how this is STILL brought up by the Hamilton haters!

I think the underlying issue with any conspiracy theory is that its become very evident that McLaren are rubbish at working out their own strategy, so there is no way they would have managed to devise this one, and get a completely separate unrelated team to cooperate, all in the space of a few laps :p

Regardless, it made great TV, and generated one of my favorate images of modern F1... (bear with me while I find it)...
