Has anyone else been watching The Traitors on BBC? It's been a long time since I've been gripped by a TV show like this has gripped me!

It's essentially Among Us / Secret Hitler in real life - apart from there seems to be even less evidence/clues to go on, so no real basis for any of the disputes other than reading of body language and interpretation of spoken word.

Love it, and highly recommend you getting up to date via Iplayer.

Have been watching. Has gripped me but some of the emotion swings of some of the players are so extreme. Tears from the accused etc.

Wilfs play yesterday came out of nowhere and thought it was a fantastic play - even with the other traiter joining in. Amanda has to be a favourite to win, she's flying so low below the radar at the moment.

The emotion swings are hilarious, I can only assume contestants were chosen due to their propensity to burst in to tears when negative energy comes their way.

I think Alyssa deserved to go, she was too blasé about everything and lacked any real passion which highlighted her - the fact both other traitors voted for her have also given them a bit of cover for the upcoming days.

I believe Alex will join them tonight as a third traitor.

I can't stand Claudia Winkleman, dislike reality tv shows and I think they are either all actors or have been told to ham it up to the nth degree and yet I can't stop watching it. Enjoying it lots.

I watched last week's episode of Gogglebox and they were watching it. Just started watching the first episode and lol at Claudia kicking them two blokes out at the beginning.

I see the BBC desperately trying to talk this one up but I don't know anyone who is actually watching it, the few who've watched a bit have nothing positive to say and skimming quickly through a bit it seemed laughably poor - good concept absolutely massacred in execution.

Yeah, that slender frame, high heel wearing, long brunette and dandruff free hair does make her a bit not standable.

Enjoyed that, bit gutted for wilf in the end but the pressure got to him and he screwed himself over, ironically because he let his emotions get the better of him. Still think the hamming it up wasn't needed, and yes Winkleman is still annoying :p

The BBC have been pushing this for weeks and it didn’t appeal to me at all.

Yesterday, I put the first episode on and was hooked straight away. I’ve gone through the whole lot and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great show.

I thought it was brilliant in so many ways, the emotions sometimes seemed a bit much but I think in a closed group like that things would get strained.
It was funny how all the people who had a cunning plan got nothing in the end.

I wanted more Traitors so I watched the US version. Rather, I struggled through it. It's exactly the same premise, set in the same castle but with Alan Cumming rather than Claudia. They chose mainly previous reality TV show contestants as the competitors rather than members of the public and I just didn't think it worked very well because they all knew each other. There were a handful of 'normal' people but they obviously knew of the other contestants from seeing them in other shows.

There's an Aussie version which does use members of the public and is far better than the US version. I've seen the first six episodes and it's just as good viewing as ours.
