Anyone else remember this when it first aired? I was in second year at the time and it put the ***** right up me. The way it was presented made you think it was all above board, i watched upto the part where things are going mad in the house and one of the girls says something along the lines of "he gave me his eyes" and she has something in her hand. After that i turned it off and was into the bog to release the demons.

Of course next day in school literally nobody was scared or had jumped at any part of it , funny you get the same old story nomatter how scary something is.

I was the same, scared the hell out of me, but of course looking back I can laugh at myself. It didn't scare anyone else funnily enough when asked about it.

I can guarantee probably most of them were scared to an extent, just playing the "big man" the next day, after spending half the night wedging their boxers back into place. :D

Yes, I remember that - I picked it up recently and showed it to the kids. They twigged straight away and just laughed at it. I think it's the years of watching "Most Haunted Crap" that's done it.

I bought the DVD last year after being massively dissappointed with paranormal activity, what a load of tripe I thought it was. I was then reminded of the superb Ghostwatch that I saw as a teen. It scared the crap out of me at the time and is superb even today.

There is a spoiler site somewhere on the net that has photos of all the times Mr.Pipes actually appeared during the show, and some of the photos are shocking to say the least.

Strange but true,lol

OMGZZ I Just time travelled back 10 years

Those time slips are always weird and mysterious to read/hear about. I've heard several different versions of the French hotel one over the years, never fails to be creepy.

They should release this series on DVD, I'd snap it up as I love anything like that, the paranormal mystery stuff and not the fake Most Haunted rubbish. Theres a box set on Amazon but apparently it's not the Michael Aspel show.

Regarding time slips, i remember a while ago reading about people in the north sea oil rig on a foggy day apparently seeing what looked like Viking long ships. Apparently years later some archologists were digging around some place and found what was supposed to be old viking pictures portraying a sea monster that apparently looked a lot like an oil rig.

No links or anything as it was years ago =/

ed: actually did find a link to a transcript of the story:

fitting into this thread quite nicely is the strange but true episode on the Enfield Poltergeist - almost certainly what Ghost Watch was based on.

Most Haunted is awesome if you like watching people sit in the dark, scream randomly, claim they got touched then go home. Oh and don't forget the resident scammer. I mean medium.

Ghost Hunters with TAPs [can't remember which channel] is far superior. They will say somewhere is not haunted if it isn't, not like MH where they go in saying its haunted and come out and say "oh well not our night... it's still super haunted though, really!". Also GH have actually caught decent footage of weird stuff. Granted it may all have a rational, non-paranormal explanation, but it is far more compelling than ORBS! oooooh!

[Sorry for the tangent. Carry on gentlemen! :p]

I remember watching this as a kid. I was absolutely terrified to the point where I wanted to leave the room, but as the rest of the house was empty, I couldn't bring myself to leave.

I ended up spending the night in my brothers room as I was too scared to stay in mine alone.

Bloody brilliant TV!
