BBC iPlayer to hit Macs in 2008

The PQ on the steraming iPlayer is quite acceptable IMO (watching at 1920x1200 on a 24" Dell from my bed about 2 1/2M away anyway) and the sound quality is a hell of a lot better than the 4od streaming stuff.

I hope streaming stays once they add, this as surley the flash can easily be ripped, although I guess quicktime can be ripped easily too.

I find the FPS a little low on the streams. Especially when there is moving text on the screen, its unreadable most of the time.

Streaming doesn't work too brilliantly on my 512k connection and there's no way to let it buffer all or at least most of the episode before watching it

Its about time.. but I agree - I usually stream the programs anyway... as I'm ionly going to watch them once....

why has iplayer stopped working with iPhones now?

it jus says I need windows(which it said before) but the arrow on the pic no longer appears,simply doesn't appear to work

Still works for me. Clicking the arrow graphic starts the video.
