just noticed there are ads everywhere , i mean huge ads.

have a look

the size is disproportional to the size of the text. But more interesting is that this is only viewable to people living outside UK. so foreigners will pay for the improvement of the BBC and have to suffer such horrible ads?

I can't see anything. Do you have to be outside the UK to see these adverts then or have I misread your post?

The beebs budget was cut recently if I recall correctly. There were quite a lot of redundancies and streamlinings announced. Its not like people abroad have to pay tv licences to pay in part towards the services of the bbc website. If the BBC feels it can make some money out of this move, its quite reasonable I think.

Can you post a screen shot of a page to show us the ad's?

I'm looking at the BBC news site right now and I'm seeing no adverts at all.
You sure you haven't got something "nasty" installed on your machine?

*Edit*
Ah - non UK people will see the ads.
Very interesting idea.

I could access it fine in the Republic of Ireland.

Seems as though the US and Britain are coming closer and closer to all-out war with the Middle-East.
Iran is shagged TBH. The US needs to take control of the oil in the entire Middle-East for this war to be profitable.

Seven years of US-British war already; what's another seven?

What a crock o' ****.
