In a world of my own
I’ve been invited to be in the audience of Question Time this week. The only panel member confirmed so far is the Labour MP Annalise Dodds, but they usually have a couple of opposing MPs and one or two other people.

They’ve asked for two questions I’d like to ask - one current and political and one more general.

So I thought I would throw it open to the OCUK crowd!

What would you like to ask, if you were given the chance?

Need to know by this afternoon as that’s when we have to mail over our tickets questions for selection.

You may as well ask if their dars sell Avon as the show is a shadow of its former self when Dimbleby was the host.

Bruce often goes for low hanging fruit to get some cheap laughs or applause and she can’t control the room to anywhere near the same degree.

Piers Morgan was on the other week and he came across the most rational one on the panel…

Why do conservatives constantly seem to pull numbers out of a hat when making up policy. It just seems there are no experts involved when designing policy like Rwanda or the new visa changes which are going to hugely impact our country.

Many settled British citizens who through no fault of their own are going to have to split up their families. They’re partners being in the middle of going through the spousal visa process, not meeting the new financial requirements in time. Meaning they will need to be making plans now to leave the country.

This is with extremely short notice and is going to uproot already settled families.
Not to mention all the high skill fields where people don’t get paid anywhere near the new visa cap(post docs, engineering fields, tech and other smaller fields). These people are just being told to leave now. These are not jobs that are automatically going to be filled by more British people.

These changes are going to gut entire industries over night and split entire families up, it seems like an unintended consequences of them just putting together this change blindfolded. It makes no sense at all.

If you now don’t earn a certain amount of money and have £112k in savings, guess you can’t build a family with a foreigner lmao. 85% of the Uk don’t meet the new criteria.

How many people do you know who have partners from Europe and other countries? This is going to affect all of them if they are still going through the long process of citizenship.

These changes are purely political with no thought of the absolutely mind numbing damage that will be done to the country.

It should be top of the news being screamed about as much as Brexit ever was, it’s going to cause similar damage to us. The problem is it’s just lost in all the other **** going on. This change is a massive nail in the coffin for our country, the conservatives and wealthy people are massively insulated from it.

Given governments around the world have spent the good part of 50 years fighting the criminal gangs involved in the drugs trade what makes the politicians think they're going to do any better when it comes to the criminal gangs involved in so called illegal immigration.

I like this. Might have to do with this one.

It's mentioned a lot on there and you just get the same tired nonsense from whoever is representing the party that night.

I wouldn't be surprised if most of this week's show is taken up once again by the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Makes me sad… people have no idea how damaging to our country this is going to be…

I’m seeing many people I know and online who are suddenly realising that they are going to have to leave the country or send there partners way… their renewals come up just in time to miss the potential deadline for the new change should it pass.

£18k to £38k is ******* brutal and sickening. I know so many people with partners from other countries who would have been caught by this during their settlement process if they had been going through it now.

Remember not to leave your hand up in the air when they pick on you to speak.

I've been on QT and Dimbleby even gave that reminder before we started filming and people still did it!

Oh and they'll probably ask for volunteers to come down and do a mock Q&A, to check sound levels etc, so stick your hand up quick if you want a go. I did it, was good fun being on the panel :)
