BBC Reboot Competition

So basically the BBC are calling all designers to have a bash at what they think the BBC homepage should look like.

You can win an Apple Laptop, and an ipod by the sounds of it. Big whoop.

But that isn't the real prize. Imagine being picked? Imagine having your creation as the face of the BBC for a day.

So, whos tempted? I certainly am.

LOL at the idiots moaning about "being ripped off"....er, if the BBC spent twenty grand on a re-design then they'd be moaning about "we pay you for TV! not for a pretty website! use free stuff! like us!" LOL, some people

The BBC backstage people are really neat, they're doing lots of cool stuff. This looks fun

Ah yes. I saw a link to this competition on another site last night but the URL wasn't resolving? Reading around a bit a lot of people were crying "they're just getting people to redesign their site for free!" and I could only assume that they pulled it sharpish.

I'll need to purchase some hosting (it's about time actually), and provided I do that I am so entering this competition! I could do with a "high end Apple laptop" (and the bundles of publicity, too)

actually quite an interesting idea, you would have thought the people involved at the bbc would have at least checked the site through before passing it out to a load of website developers though

no wonder they need someone else to do it

( guess i should at least atempt to get my own post straight before i criticize the bbc /edit)

Its definately a good idea, the BBC have had a few negative comments but I think on a whole this is going to be big.

I hope someone from OcUK does well.

This looks really interesting and like Al Vallario says, it could be great publicity and something good to put on your CV. Shame the deadline is the 25th of May, though. My exams are around this time, so I'll be too busy to have a go.
