BBC online have an article based around Hamilton's insistence that he is doing nothing wrong and saying that it will be business as usual in Suzuka.

They describe in detail his various problems with Massa on and off the track two weeks ago but omit any mention of Rob Smedley's allegedly having told Massa to 'destroy' Hamilton's race . . . VERY strange

ITV F1 do have a more complete report in which Massa claims that there was no significance in Smedley's observation - YEAH, RIGHT ;)

What, you mean apart from the very obvious video in the middle of the article?

For the love of....

From the Singapore thread:

Just LOL at the Lewisterical crew taking that radio message and projecting so hard that reality distorts :D I mean, honestly. What was the message going to be if it wasn't 'Felipe, hold the guy behind you and we can finish ahead of him'? It's ******* Motor Racing! You try and stay ahead of the guys behind you!

I won't post 'lolstockhausen' as I think it's juvenile, pointless and irritating in the extreme. But I'm thinking it.

While Massa had Hamilton behind, and Alonso infront, Rob told Massa to 'stay infront and destroy his race as much as possible'.

Basically, hold him up to keep him away from Alonso. Or in other words.... race.

The media however have decided that the use of the word 'destroy' is somehow related to the fact that 3 laps later, Hamilton out broke himself slightly and tagged Massa.

Ah, OK.

I guess that it could be argued that the instruction was to do with delaying Hamilton (destroying his race) so as to protect Alonso's lead rather than actually to race (i.e. attain the highest possible finishing position for himself) . . . this does seem to be the designated role for Massa within Ferrari.

I guess that we should always remember that F1 is a 'team' rather than an 'individual' endeavour.

Yep, thats exactly how I see it. He was told to hold Hamilton up to help Alonso.

I see absolutely no issue in that, and also absolutely no way that that could somehow be linked to the incident between Massa and Hamilton. But aparently the media felt otherwise.

LOL. You are so transparent you have little stickers on to stop people accidentally walking into you!

never saw such a mclaren fanboy in my life and someone who believes vettel is the best driver because he wins the championship regardless of how superior the car is.
