Layout is better on old site but the next 12 hours data on new site is extremely useful.

This, pretty much. For example, for the visually impaired the old simple symbols are much better.

I like the new flash-based weather maps though. I think they work far better than the old ones (I found that often parts of the old graphics would be missing and all you'd see is a big block of red).

The new one looks nicer but I agree the old is more practical.

Prefer the old one, simple design no need to think what's going on where, job done within few seconds, tab closed. End result a happy returning customer (despite their mistakes with actual weather predictions )

bbc weather is usually wrong if you live in or around glasgow spend a few months looking to see how many days the beeb says its raining when it clearly isnae
