Seems silly... 50p for some virtual land, then you have to pay to upkeep the land. £800 for an island... did i hear that right. This is real money presumably.

well, that's comparable to any other game. People pay £400 for WoW accounts and Everquest accounts, gold sells for millions, even oldschool Diablo 2 items sell for loads.

Fair play, if people pay the money, they should milk it. It just looks *****

well that's a highly priced account tbh. ive seen it happen. average for an account is 250 though i'd say.

yea second life is rather dull.

i installed like 2 years ago, man a character,
flew arround got bored after 5mins, was horrible to look at.

took of my clothes, admin then froze me naked.
booted me from game, as i didnt know how to put my clothes back on.

so i unistalled it

did you all watched the end with wow, codemasters and lord of rings...?
