BC2 and Origin

I bought this game a while ago, retail, installed it, played it now and then.

I want to register it on Origin so I can play it without the CD, when I try to it says I cannot and points me at an EA site where is says the code has been used. :confused:

Anyone had a similar problem?

I managed to do this with Shift 2, no problems at all.

I also have the retail version and you are right as you cannot register the disc version on origin. I was a bit disappointed too. If you find out a way to register BC2 on origin let me know.

I managed to do this with Shift 2, no problems at all.

If you do an online activation when you install the game you don't need the disc in anyway.

I think you can choose just to do a online activation. I done it where I needed the disk in the pc I didn't want to loose the 5 activations to reformats

This can be reset via EA chat, takes about 5 minutes. Did it with Crysis Warhead

Thanks for the suggestions guys, its weird that it says it has been registered already but still needs the disk.. I'll investigate further.

Yep just contact EA support and they will sort it out for you.
