Me and the network programmer have been digging through this another round tonight + some of you out there have been running tests for us:
The game client has two TCP connections open to EA's master servers. When everything is dandy, the master servers send a "ping" transaction (essentially a no-op req/ack) every 150 seconds.
When something's wrong (we don't know exactly what yet), the game client receives no ping requests from the master servers, and the game client hangs up after 240 seconds of inactivity.
Since both connections already have been used for a whole bunch of transactions (they were used when the game client logged in to Plasma), it looks less like a low-level TCP timeout issue and more like a high-level logic bug somewhere.
Yes, we're still working on it.
Can't believe this, but I just managed to get 2 kills this wayIf you aim half a bodies length under their feet, by the time the bullet travels to them you should score a nice headshot (assuming you standing at the back of the defender map)
