BC800 Cycle computer - How to fit to the CBR?

Right, it arrived this morning, but unfortunately I can't find a way of mounting the thing securely.

Anybody have any tips or ideas where to mount the magnet and the sensor?

I remember somebody saying they'd seen people do in on the VFR's somewhere?

when i fitted my cycle computer to my cbr600 9 years ago i glued the magnet to the wheel and cable tired the sensor on to the fork leg.
its still working fine now and i haven't had to do anything to it in all that time bar the change of battery.

How did that work though, the magnet has to pass within 5mm of the sensor?

They usually work with a bigger gap than 5mm.

the magnet on mine is on the side of the rim and i used one if those glues that you mix up, don't use the sticky pad you get with it as it wont last long.
you may need to put something behind the sensor on the fork leg to get it close enough to the magnet.

Epoxy Resin....hmmmm - not sure if i'd want to do that do my rim. (lol)

I suppose you could do it quite neatly.

if you want it to stay on for any length on time there really isn't any other way.
the sticky pads just don't cut it I'm afraid.
my wheels are black and so is the magnet so you cant really see it and the sensor is just under the mudguard so you cant see that also

Yeah i'll probably go for that then.

However I'm finding it painfully hard to work out how I'm supposed to enter my wheel size. It wants a formula to calculate the correct rolling radius, but I just don't understand at all.

most glued the magnet to the disk and mounted the pickup near the brake caliper.

Not used that model, and not on a CBR, but I find the rear wheel easier for speedo pickups- easier to hide wires, and easier to get close to the disc or rim (I use the disc- with most rears you can drill slightly into the face to get a recess for the magnet, or even right through, and that's not coming out in a hurry)
