I am so happy, If you go into an o2 store they can use the website we use to give you a rough speed estimate aswell, based on distance as the crow flies. I get 12 meg download, over a meg upload, good times

They recieved a complaint he was doing naughty things, not the same as fair usage :p
 
I just got my line activated today and tbh my experience wasn't very good. Firstly the Be template was not installed on my BeBox, so after an hour or so of confusion I rang them up and discovered I had to upgrade the firmware, blah blah blah. :rolleyes:

The worst part is though I'm only getting about 4mbit downstream and 1mbit upstream. I understand than no one will get the full 24mbit, but geez, only 4mbit?! Even the pings I normally get are a fair bit higher (previously on Virgin Media).

Does anyone know how I can improve this? Unless Be can increase my speeds or at least lower my monthly fee, I'm seriously considering going back to cable the next chance I get. :(
 
Woot! I didn't know how to check all that jazz so I just took the plunge and asked for fastpath :)

The did it within an hour and a half of me asking!

Now I get a permanetly single figure ping in CZ and my download speed has gone up to nearly 19mb :D

This is with Be and the standard Be Box, right? If so, how did you get it?

Thats while downloading sp1 for vista as well lol, but dont think it will go up much when thats done, possibly the upload will increase thats normally 11xx

No it's with Be and a Netgear DG834PN. My Be Box failed delivery and I cba to pick it up from the depot so they can have it back.

Don't know if that's a good thing but the reg seems quite nice too :D Even if I'm rubbish these days cause I've not had internet for so long lol

You could try downloading DMT enabling the hidden tabs and dropping your Target SNR, i did this and squeezed another couple of meg out of my connection.

I've been with Be for a couple of months now, moved from Plusnet, i'm on the 24meg package but due to my line i only get around 7.5 which is fine by me.
Had a few teething problems at first but after a few phone calls and a couple of emails everything is fine now.
I would reccommend them to anyone.
 
I don't understand what it is that people download? what is this torrrent stuff?

30GB is stuff? damn I'm glad they have a fair useage policy, keep the leeching criminals away from my bandwidth! ;)
