These might be daft questions, but:

BE require one months notice for cancellation or I can have express cancellation in ten days for £40.

I placed my order for Infinity yesterday and they now require the MAC code, which i have received rather quickly from BE.

Install date for Infinity is 16/04/12.

Can I give BT the MAC code now and then give BE thirty days notice, thus avoiding the express cancellation charge?
Can I run BT/BE together for say ten days or will the MAC code only allow one service by switching from one to the other?
When will BT use the MAC code? On install date, or earlier?

Any further advice would be appreciated.

Cheers. :)

I work away and sent them a very nice support ticket and they came back with the MAC code within two hours.
I guess the ball is in my court as the MAC code does not mean automatic cancellation unless I initiate it by using it.
So by your advice, I'm going to have to pay the cancellation fee regardless?

I was thinking to give BE a months notice now, give BT the MAC code, get it installed thus avoiding paying the fee??

I honestly can't remember exactly what the £40 fee is, I think its if you switch to Infinity and basically never tell Be, or if you are still under contract? They've just charged us the remaining of the month we were on, or they were going to but as we mentioned dying router and pee poor service for the past few weeks they've actually not charged us and refunded us to the beginning of our last payment which is like £10, so pretty awesome from them on that part as they could have been arsey but were actually excellent.

Cheers. Like I say, I've got the MAC code now so you reckon just give it to BT and then tell BE I'm cancelling? I'm not in contract, btw.

:)
