Got a Netgear DG834N

Due to 'Be' and 'There' being awful words for googling, I can't find a solution, all the FAQ says is "Yes you can use your own router, but we can't provide support"

But as Be There doesn't allow you to connect via username & password, I'm wondering how I go about connecting using this router. As the Be Box has an awful signal around the house, and this router has been superb on my last isp.

I put IP/Default Gateway/DNS/Subnet Mask in the correct boxes, but can't connect to the internet.

It connects to LAN fine, can share files etc.
All the lights are green on the front.
Can access http://192.168.0.1/ through wireless, and it saves the settings.

Am I missing something obvious? Just ask if you need any more info.

Right I'm connected, getting same speedtest results as before 14mb/1.5mb, signal strength is awesome now.

Thanks guys.

Lets just hope whenever I play on TF2 my net doesn't go down, only on that game for some reason. It also takes down the server I was playing on :S

That's down to a weird hardware conflict between steam and the speedtouch 805. Following "Netrippers" guide on the steam forums would have solved the problem though.

1) Start a command promt by clicking on start -> run -> and typing "cmd" -> ok

2) Type "telnet speedtouch" into the command prompt, or if that doesn't work "telnet 192.168.1.254".

3) You'll now be asked for your modem login details (username: Administrator / password: leave blank - just hit enter)

4) Type "connection bindlist" into the command prompt and hit enter

5) Type "connection unbind application=GAME(UDP) port=27010-27011" hit enter and exit

This should completely resolve any connection issues related to steam and the be modem.

I realise you've bought a new modem now but the above may still be of some help to any Be* and steam (mainly TF2) users who are having the same problem. :)

Ah right thanks a lot, copied to notepad incase I ever have to switch back to Be Box.

CoD4 is acting up now, disconnects net randomly, reconnects after about 20 seconds =/
