Ive been with Be now for about 10 months now (I would think!). I am exactly 1 Km away from my exchange (in a straight line) and have a att of 23.5 down. I get 19.1 mb down and 1.3 up. Been very happy with their service although sometimes their dns servers can be slow

Needless to say I am now getting it in my rented accomodation too!

I've only been with them for a couple of weeks, it seems I'm 1.7km (straight line) from my exchange and I get 8mb.

my line is about 2.4km i believe

and i get 10/11mb

but thats line length, yours may be longer. My mate is about 3.5km from the exchange with twice the line attenuation (60db) and still manages 8mb.

theres loads more to take into account than attenuation, theres quiet line noise, SNR and a varying medley of other things that can affect the speed you recieve.
