Hi all, I grew a moustache in November (for movember) and its kind of evolved into a beard since then.

I've got an interview next Monday for an IT job, office based shirt and trousers environment.

I was wondering what people opinions are? its not a full on techie type beard, I trim it with a number 1 or 2 trimmer and shave it into shape on the cheeks and quite far up on the neck, so as beards go its very smart, short and shaped..

I actually think I look better with than without it, its kind of like this, but a bit more groomed, and my hair is a bit darker - http://ryanreynoldsgallery.com/wp-content/photos/orig_Ryan_Reynolds_Smokin_Aces.jpg

what do you think? shave or keep?

Thanks, some interesting views, I think I may keep it, like I say, it is neat, I shave up my neck quite high and shave my cheeks and edge off the moustache area, so its a clean outline, then I go over it with number 1 or 2 clippers so its all uniform.

As long as it is a beard and doesn't just look like you have not bothered shaving for a while and as long as it's neat and tidy then I don't see the problem.

Have had to spend a pile of last week looking over IT CVs, and being astonished at the poor quality of them, congratulations on getting an interview ...

Thanks, well it's actually a 2k pay cut from what I'm on now, doing exactly the same thing, but I'm currently contracting, so: paid holidays! yay! more security! yay! and no more hatefull umbrella companies and all the nonsense that comes with that! yay!

Lol! guys, its not that kind of beard, it's a, dare I say trendy modern, uniform beard...
...A sharp beard, if there is such a thing...

In fact to call it a beard would probably be incorrect, it's beyond stubble, but it's not a UNIX bush either :)
