beards

You still need to shave a little bit to keep the edges neat, but on the plus side, something like a Gillette razor will last closer to a year rather than a month before the blade is knackered.

I use a Double edge safety razor. On my dome too.

Soul patch and nice thick lump on the chin, gonna try a long beard if it ever grows more. Moustache wont meet in the middle so that’s a no go. Cheeks are basically whiskers even given a month. I don't have many options. 30 in Jan still suffering with bad facial hair, dark brown hair though.

When my son was 2 he threw up over the both of us, I was holding him against me so it didn't go anywhere and shouted the wife.

She came in, grabbed him and as she pulled him away he projectile vomited as she aimed him at my face.

Managed to keep my mouth shut but I had a massive vomit beard as a result :D

Think I have a photo somewhere :D

I feel at some point this will happen or something similiar!

Nearly a year since last post and i didnt grow it out but, going to do so now for november and maybe longer!

Still can't grow a beard at my age. It's the goatee side sections from end of lips to chin that still haven't grown in.

I remember being about 18 thinking that in a couple of years I'd be able to grown a beard. Not the case.

35 here and I only get one of those goatee side sections so mine isn't even symmetrical! I still don't get hair growing where the lamb chops should be.

*edit* oops, didn't realize this thread was so old.

I deliberately bumped it as i am now going ahead and growing a beard for this month and hopefully into new year

I don’t use anything in my beard these days. It’s not particularly long, though I suspect with the new lockdown it might become rather longer. I gave up shampooing my beard and my hair and instead, basically scrubbing it with a brush in the shower. It’s cured my beardruff.

I heard that conditioner is good for a beard as it helps it stay soft. Obviously only use a couple of times a week though.

I want to grow a beard. I have an established goatee. Do i trim the goatee down or just let the 'beard' grow and catch up?

Mine wont go any further up my cheeks and it wont join up around the tache. Im doomed to look like somewhere between a neckbeard gimp and jack black forever :(

I was in the same situation as you and my goatee was quite long. I just let the goatee carry on growing and grew the beard around it.

Moustaches don't have to 'connect'. Many don't, look at e.g. Travis Fimmel. Everyone has their own patternation.

Thats exactly how my beard grows. Ah well, looks OK I guess...

I like watching the Beardbrand videos on YouTube. Some very inspirational ones. Wish they stocked their products in th UK..

Currently sporting lamb chops down to just above chin line and a goatee

Trying to talk myself in to honoring the big man and going with 'the man who would be king' look. IE, shave bottom goatee off. Just think it looks cool and i fancy something different

Anything to look forward to during lockdown's a bonus

Go for it!

Trying to get my cheeks to thicken up, it's not patchy so to speak but much thinner than my chin. Am I cursed? Shall I let it grow and see what happens? Would also like it if my moustache met in the middle there's like a cm gap under my nose.

I find wherever I try to grow a beard, it gets progressively more itchy, until I shave it off. Any tips on avoiding this, would oil help? Anyone else have the same experience?
