** BEATS BY DR DRE - AVAILABLE NOW **

no they don't I've heard fake beats and they achieved a sound so bad that even Dr. Dre said... nothing, you idiots! Dr. Dre's dead, he's locked in my basement!

as a sound engineer in a previous life, I can tell you I would not pay £19.99 for a pair of 'Beats'

by far they are the worst headphones I have ever listened to, I have had better headphones come free with a diet pack of food.

this is of course just my opinion, and would recommend you try before you buy, that is of course if you care about sound quality and not the 'look'

sadly it is the 'look' that sells these, my only comparison would be to sell a high end 4K TV that would only output 260p.

I have no doubt in my mind, Dre is trying to work this out as we speak.

Good old form over function...

Wait where have I seen this statement before...

Ah PC verses Mac

I'm waiting for the $14 article to come in. Like people are surprised capitalists make money.

If you know so much about sound, why aren't I selling your brand of headphones?

Because you don't stock them? I have some here at a very good price to you sir, useless for listening to, but great for keeping your ears warm.

they are a bit like........ohh wait

I mean to be fair, OCUK sells a ton of stuff I love, having completed a purchase for just under a grand, and I look forward to offers from the team, but I am serious when I say that I would send these straight back to your supplier, hopefully its a sale or return deal, or straight from supplier, but I wouldn't risk my hard earned clientele on these.

Frankly, I am abit surprised this has gone so off topic. Humans have this way of serving up non relevant info rapidly.

At the end of the day, headphones are for listening to music on - beats produce this sound as does every other headphone set.

HOWEVER, it is widely known by audio experts that beats do not produce a good quality sound - especially at the price they cost.

Ergo if you want some good head phones that sound good and you want to listen to your music, do not buy them.

If you want a fashion accessory then buy them - same way that brand name handbags cost thousands but serve no actual further function from a tesco bag for life.

As this is a tech forum I would imagine 99% won't buy them, but thats ok as they are mostly a fashion accessory.

Uncle Petey hahahahahahaa

randal i got nothing about apple besides selling lesser product crazy price.

But hey how many other mobile manufacturers got people sleeping outside of store to get a ****ing phone ?? SRSLY :D

Probably because Dre nailed the market at exactly the right time. Having exceptionally good marketing and a consumer base that probably couldn't tell the difference between good and bad with their headphones doesn't mean the Beats headphones are good. It just means Dre & Co were spot on with their marketing and timing.

Funny. I was actually thinking about a set of wireless headphones. Of course, beats never crossed my mind. I have a couple pairs of Sennheisser HD25's, a pair of AIAIAI TMA-1's and a pair of Allen & Heath Xone XD2-53's, so am aware of semi-decent cans.

Good luck with the new product line though. Just seems a little snow 2 Eskimos to me...

I think the Monster marketing department nailed it to be honest.

Peculiar place to try and sell them it must be said. The thread has done a pretty good job demonstrating such.

I think that, but also I would be interested in seeing the sales figures after a while and seeing whether we are wrong thinking it was the wrong place to sell them - Wonder if this would be possible?

you should apply for a job in purchasing here.

you clearly know your stuff.

Good point, thought I doubt if they were bombing OCUK would tell us anyway. They'll just quietly be removed whenever the stock sells off. Time will tell.
