Bebox or Be connection problem?

ok guys as of recently i've been getting quite a few disconnects with my Be line and lagging out in games aswell as during general web surfing.

my question is will a change in router stop this or is it my Be line causing the problem?

hmm could be a lot easier route if i got the netgear

, i play cs 1.6 which is where i mainly find the disconnects but also experience it during web surfing and gerneral internet use.

i have tried fastpath and experienced the same problems so i can't put it down to that

true, roll on payday and i'l order from oc's as i doubt the men in purple will sell it and that's really the only place around here computer wise.

just a update folks my 834GT arrived this morning 7am

couriers are getting earlier everytime! will post back later with stats and how i'm getting on with the new router (crosses fingers hoping it solves his issues)

got my DG834GT and flashed to latest firmware but it keeps asking for the dsn address primary and secondary in the netgear setup as it doesn't detect automatically, anyone any ideas?

basically when i try going through the setup wizard it takes a day and a age and then produces me some problem saying that it can't find the dns server or something similar, and in the basic settings it doesn't seem that any ip addresses have been assigned see here :

the problems never stop, nets connected fine but when i play cs 1.6, i get mass amounts of drop outs and lag all over the place. my stats are as follows :

just done a speedtest and my speed has gone from 14mb to 5mbdown and 1.1mb up! what the hell is going on guys?

i'm playing on wireless but my Bebox i never experienced lag issues and spikes i just occasionally got disconnects.

with this netgear i've managed to solve the disconnects by flashing to a older firmware but i'm getting silly amounts of spikes in game.

considering with my old BT 8mb connection i was getting 7-12ping in game and a rock solid connection any time of day and any amount of users on my home network this Be is a absolute JOKE!

ok still having massive teething problems with this DG834GT, after flashing back to a older firmware (due to me getting random disconnects and lag spikes in game cs 1.6) i am now experiencing no disconnects but i'm still getting a random lag spike where my ingame ping/latency will go up to 150+ i get this probably 2-3times every 5mins!

what should i do? i'm thinking of trying the uberGT firmware but will it solve this problem?
