Pest control report 10x the number of calls vs 12 months ago
Source thought to be resurgence of travel post pandemic, & particularly migrants & their luggage from a specific area of 3rd world
Bugs probably more resistant to modern insecticides, & no modern equivalents of DDT etc that were used for en masse eradicate in the past now exist

London infestation basically inevitable.

Are you scared?
 
I am not going to Paris, so no, but can confirm it's a big issue. My girlfriend's sister lives in Paris and had an infestation earlier this year and she lives in fear it will come back. When my gf has visited her, she's had to store her suitcase in black bags, clean clothes straightaway, etc.

We're in the process of ripping out all the carpets are putting in some nice hard flooring. Carpets are gross.

If the beds have to be next, so be it. We'll sleep on concrete slabs.
 
who has wood floors with no rugs they probably cover 50% of our floor.

but the cinemas is interesting as a transmission mechanism - need disposable cover if I save up to go again.

Apparently you have to turn the heating up to max for a while and they & offspring will die - have they seen the CAP.
e: train/tube seating ?

Bedbugs

A short while ago, I created a thread about finding a dead body. Recently we found out that he had bedbugs. Apparently he was covered in bites and had spoken to another neighbour about it. Then we found out, that another flat in the same block, next to his, is infested with them. They sent out...

Lets be honest, plenty of dirty "insert whatever here" need to wash their bed clothes more than once a year. That includes duvet and pillows.

Same goes for the people who would happily wake up in the morning and leave the house without washing their skin!

You know who you are! :p
