I have 2 pc, a gaming rig for racing Sims and on office pc for Adobe progs

The gaming rig is having problems which I have identified mobo problems. It's a lga1200 with a not very good 10850 CPU, 32gb ddr4 rtx 3090. I'm running tripple 1440p monitors. It's fully watercooled

The office pc was built last year Amd 5, 64gb ddr5 (can't remember the CPU as not as home)

So do I just bite the bullet and get new mobo, CPU and memory for the rig or do I transfer the parts from the office pc and downgrade the office pc to amd4. I am hardly using Adobe these days

Ps is water-cooling not as popular reason I ask is my local computer shop no longer stocks water-cooling components

That one makes more sense in the current market, mainly due to the high RAM prices. That's assuming your DDR4 is in good condition.

On Intel 1700, you'd need something like a 13400/14400 or 12600K to match or exceed the 10850 overall. On AM4, a 5700X or better.

It isn't, but you can buy AIOs for the CPU cooling, which are self-contained, assuming the case has the mounts for it.
