Been asked to "DESTROY" a hard disk drive... best method? ;o)

So come on, how should I destroy this little laptop Hard disk drive ive been officially asked to destroy. It doesnt work anyway but there is data on there that is classified and incase it ever started working...bla bla bla.

Whats a good way without causing TOO much mess, preferably suitable for an office environment?! lol

Drive is buggered anyway in that I can only randomly see it as a device. Can hear it spin but very unreliable and dodgey. Need to actually destroy it. Been given orders (no i dont work in the military/FBI etc.)

Well I ended up hitting it with a hammer since it was the only thing lying about....





Erm....glassy/grainy substance comes out when you shake it now.
