How do i check to see if my internet has been capped?

My internets suppose to be 10mb with unlimited downloads (ADSL) , but only downloadin at 50-60 kbs

so is there anyway of checkin this?

When they advertise it as 10mb they mean up to, your speed can vary on your line quality, distance from exchange etc. What speeds did you get with your last ISP?

we've been with them for bout 5 years now, but the last couple of months it'll jus download of speeds of upto 50-60lbs whilst takin up all the bandwith, Some times it'll be fine but am i right in thinking of been capped?

last time i looked adsl was either upto 8mbs or 24 for adsl2+....sounds like he is on about CABLE

How are you testing?
What ISP are you with?

Some ISPs are packet shaping during the day but it all depends what you are trying to download and from where.

Try www.speedtest.net about 20 times at different times of the day
