Been Out of the loop- recommend me games

Im going in town tomorrow to pick up Killzone 2 and resident evil 5.
Questions:
1) Im only gonna play RE5 co-op with my bro as we did on the demo, i that the best way to play it rather than sp?
2) How hard is killzone 2 sp, should i ram it up to the hardest setting, as most console fps games aint that hard.
3) Killzone 2 mp any good?

Killzone 2 and resident evil 5 are on there way, hopefully here tomorrow or saturday at the latest
2 questions though:
1) killzone 2 on the hardest setting available, how long should that take to finish?
2)RE5 what setting should me and my brother play through this on, not trying to sound big headed but were both pretty good at these type of games.
