Whilst we were out the back for not that long (less than 30mins) with my music on in my room, it seems someone has come into the house through the front door, nick my bike and a most of the coats and cleared off!

Pretty ****** off because my north face fleece has gone along with a couple of other decent coats and some of my mates. My bmx has also gone, not that ir was the best or expensive but was my way of getting to mates, the gym and stuff.

If i see my bike and i know its mine, its pretty hard to miss really, then am i within my rights to take it back?

damn sneak thieves!

that sucks man! ******* *****

if you can prove the bike is yours take it back, i doubt the robber will contact the police

But not the back door cos there is a wall and a gate and a dog in the way of it.
In order for someone to get to ours they'd have to climb over a gate and a couple of fences at least but I lock that one too just the same. It's just force of habit, not like I live in a particularly rough area or anything.

Dog barks when any one even walks outside the house on the path so we know when some one is around. :D

You're still in Headingley aren't you?

A couple of months ago someone got into our house and stole my bike somehow, what's worse is at 23:30 I went downstairs and checked every single door and window was locked, then 2 people came in, and at least one of the ******* ******* forgot to lock the door, bye bye bike :)

I'll be living in a house next year and not looking forward precisely cos of these things happenin, had nothing to worry about when I was living in flats.(There was 5 security checkpoints before you can get into your room). 2 years a go my mate got his 800 quid bike stolen when he was in, they came through the kitchen window while he was sitting in the lounge in the next room *sigh*. Hope you get the stuff back man.

thats correct. It was only about 21:30 aswell.

Manoz, i doubt ill get my stuff back somehow

A couple of years ago my mates over the road had a car nicked from their house, there was 8 of them in the front room at the time right infront of the ddrive (literally 4 feet away) and they rolled the car onto the road and started it then drove it off and burnt it out later that night!

Front door locks itself. Got really lucky TWICE as i left the front door wide open two times when i went to work and it was like that for 9 hours+, did'nt get robbed luckily. Just did'nt push it hard enough and usually have my phone earphones on so did'nt hear it not click, its an outer door so unless they broke the other door they'd only get shoes and coats etc.. I live in a quiet road though, one car has been left with the window half down on the road for 2 months now without anyone interfering and another not closed properly and has jumper cables squeezing out the door bottom for almost a year, would be easy to get open, brake discs are rusted out now though :D
