Been shunted side on

Can't see pics, but if this is your Z4M then insurance (to a BMW approved bodyshop) or a BMW bodyshop with the work guaranteed by BMW.

Yea, £3k because there are slight marks on the bonnet and door where the panel has moved into it, barely noticeable, but BMW want to get it done properly as if it was going back to me as I bought it used approved.

I got them to remove all the stone chips and spray the entire front end for £380 more when mine went in. Might be worth considering as the insurance will pay for the new wing and for spraying of the bonnet/door/damaged wing. Doing the bumper and other wing at the same time wouldn't be much!

Looked utterly mint when it came out.

should I take them up on that offer?

Herpderp knew very well the answer to this question approximately 20ms after it was first posed to him by the idiot driver that crashed into him, so I don't know why he's acting all dumb about it.

When an idiot inconveniences you, you should go for the lowest hassle option to yourself, irrespective of the financial consequences for the idiot.

I wanted to cover all my bases and make sure I wasn't missing anything. I'm not ignorant enough to think I know everything about everything so welcome dissenting opinions if they are presented.

Jesus, no wonder our insurance premiums are going through the roof. I'm presuming the second one was something more than a new bumper and diffuser?

Yeah second had bent one of the exhaust tips slightly which apparently required a whole new exhaust system. Then just bumper, diffuser, blend and maybe the brackets etc behind. Boot floor was straight thankfully.

Mate used the BMW accident management company when someone went into the back of his car, said they were fantastic and after a couple of weeks got his car back good as new without having to lift a finger.

I've had way worse bumper damage than that repaired for under £600 on a Focus ST, including painting. It was done flawlessly too.

4.5k is just nuts. a whole new bumper costs less than 1k :O

I think this is one of the few threads where your posts haven't been met with dissenting opinions :p

thats insurance for you in reality its a wing more or less and spray. any decent bodyshop would do it for £500 every day of the week maybe less.

Well it might not be as it may be a new bonnet and door panel as well depending on the damage done to them. Plus if there is anything that needs replacing that is only on the Z4M they might cost a bit (no real idea) due to I am guessing much smaller production runs for spare parts.
