I did have a thought that might make the scoring easier and quicker; if everyone submits their entry along with its ID from ratebeer.com? I know in the past the same beer might have a different label just with age and bottle/can etc and so there were some errors.

How about if it was done in batches, say the first 6-8 get given out at the start of the month, you get three weeks to order/shop then week 4 is for submissions and judging?

Should allow everyone time to look around rather than end up with the same thing just because it's in stock and they allow low quantity orders.

I think the entire list needs to be given out at the start and the submission deadlines for each is a week apart, just like before. That worked well and it meant that people could get their entries in for the entire competition nice and early if they want.

The list was given out at the start so people could order lots of beer just the once.
You would then take a pic of the beer with your username visible for that week and email it to the organiser.
They would then make a post with points awarded with all the pics of the entries.

It was good fun, i'd play again.

I've had a few beers from different countries, The guys on the oil fields brewed their own - illegal there of course. But a bit special.
