Just a quick one to know where we stand, we have some Bees nesting up in/hoering the eves of our house, where there is a slight gap that can lead into the loft.

As far as I am aware from the look of them they are Bumblebees, not Honey Bees, therefore what i understand is that we have no legal way to be able to get rid of them, I know they are generally docile and don't want to go for you/interact with you unless you come swinging at them with fire or make them feel generally unsafe, from what i have read they will nest for 4-6 weeks and then disperse mid to late August, and if you have them removed you (I have read) can face a large fine.

Could someone clarify this if they have had this please, as the neighbours are away and their daughter is coming round and standing out the front whining about it, when there is really nothing we can legally do, and I just want to check a few more avenues before I tell her once and for all, to deal with it!

Thanks!

Contact your local environmental health office they'll be able to advise you on your legal position.

Get 50 bee eaters and let nature take it's course

No idea about removing them, but if they aren't causing bother just leave them. I'd be concerned if you have kids though

We have wasps and bees nesting in our soil in the garden right next to each other! I was thinking of getting a pack of hornets in and then filming the events which take place.

One of the wasps stung a family member too.

We have a gigantic nest of mortar bees in our chimney. They have been there for 20 years and have never caused us a problem.

We tried getting the men in white suits to come and get rid of them, but they won't budge.

Most bee keepers will come and remove them for free. But that said bumble bees don't stay round for that long. I have seen some quality ones recently with nice colours and a white bum. Its funny blowing smoke at them then watch them as they start to slow down and try to get out the window.. :p

Just leave them be. They won't bother you if you ignore them. They'll be more interested in getting their new Queens somewhere else.
My parents have some in a bird box in the back garden about 3' away from their hot tub, and not been a problem, even though there can be about 30-40 hovering around, just doing their bee thing.
