Bees/Wasps in a wall...

I have a new build house which has what I would call air tubes in the exterior brick work spaced evenly along and up the walls.

Earlier I noticed either a pair of bee's or wasps sort of inspecting the tube, enter it and disappear for a bit and then come back out.

This is the first I have noticed but they could well be more in there or making plans to 'move in'.

Before the suggestions of killing it with fire and 'nuking them' is there anything I can do to deter them from choosing the walls of by house to live in? Any products I can buy and apply on the area or in the vicinity? Or is it best left to a professional?

Thanks,

BennyC

Squirrels like honey, so make the hole bigger in order to let some squirrels in. This should drive out the bee's.

The only problem you have then is that you'll have squirrels on your wall now, so you may need to make the hole even larger to let a bigger animal in that likes eating squirrels.

Masonry bees leave them, they only want use of the cavity, they won't do any real damage, not like they come equip with a Kango.

I had them in my last house for years, house never fell down.

What also lived in the walls? Borrowers, that's who. What's another word for borrowers? Scousers, that's what.

Do you really want your house infested with scousers? Really?!

Ahh there voices make me laugh, Go from hard as nails to sounding like they are having a pinecone rammed up them in about 3 seconds..

Scousers will do one once they've taken all the copper pipes though :p

A bear will eat the honey quicker than a squirrel. I recommend making the hole big enough for bears.

Flawless logic in action.

Suggest also leaving front door open to attract the maximum number of bears.
A large sign saying "Bears welcome" should be placed nearby.
