Hi all as the title says really can you have a look at the below spec and see if there is anything you would change, I cant go over £554

You need a CPU cooler as the Q6700 is oem and doesn't come with the intel stock fan, which would take you over. You could drop down to the 320gb samsung f1 (unless you need the sapce), I think 2 extra fans should be enough, both at the front of the case, then put the money towards a cooler

Oh dear, I knew I wanted that cooler and I has missed it out, DOH !!

But I also think 320gb HDD might be a bit too small, I will speak to OC and see if they can sort me a deal out

no real need for pc8500 memory, pc6400 will suit the q6600 fine.

have you thought about looking at the amd tri core 720 black edition ?

Sorry mate parts ordered now, I chose the PC8500 over the PC6400 memory because it is on offer this week so it wasnt much more.

Is the AMD tri core 720 black a better performer and clocker than the Q6700 ?

?? I dont have the money, Yewen as very kindly sent me the invoice for the price of the parts and I have forwarded this onto my insurer and they will be paying OC direct and then OC will kindly send me the bits to build my new rig :cool:
