Hi

Just built a new PC with water cooling for the first time and have a complete beginner WC question:

When the system is on should I see all the pipes completely full with water (no obvious sign of water flow)? At present in the one of the pipes (top pipe, falling down) there is an air gap of probably 2 inches where you see the water flow through (that section of pipe looks half filled with water running through it)

Do I need to be concerned about that? I have been stop / starting the system and tapping the tubes and it hass been reducing - just need to know if I should keep at that to eliminate it completely.

Cheers!

Thats an airlock. Turn your case to one side, turn it upside down etc. This should erradicate it. Make sure your pump is getting a constant feed of water and it should go.
