I've uninstalled the drivers due to a BSOD being caused by a corrupt driver file. I've gone through Driver Sweeper, re-downloaded the driver package and all I get is 'Installation Package is Corrupt'.

This is beginning to test my patience.

Any ideas?

Can you download anything else and run it without the same error? Corrupt downloads is usually faulty RAM.

lol

Safe Mode & Driver Sweeper seem to have fixed it for now. I've managed to install the driver & will run memtest first thing tomorrow morning.

It isn't always a RAM issue. A while ago i had the same problem with large downloads working only 20% of the time, but a simple reinstall of windows fixed the problem.

I would run memtest but my PC is refusing to boot to CD drive. I've changed the boot order and used F12 to specify and nothing, still booting to OS.

I'm ready to burn this god-damn thing now. Nothing but a pain in my ass!!!!!

you have got 2 x 4 sticks of ram? try one stick and see if the dl works

shame m/b hasn't got onboard and then at least you could try that first, then dl the package, fit card and install it etc

It would appear that when selective cdrom, its failing to boot as its not the cdrom. I had to select the lightscribe and dvdram option. How strange.

As above, once is done the Driver sweeper under safe mode, the same download which reported it was corrupt worked fine.

Well I'm 44 mins into it and all good. If there was a problem, I would expect it to have materialized by now. I've got another 40 mins before work, will see what happens.

for me, when i had a problem with faulty ram stick, it happened straight away, i kept thinking it was the overclock etc, but it ended up being first rma was faulty ram (but wasn't put them in wrong m/b slots i think, came with them fitted so left them in), second rma was faulty ram :( but got it sorted in the end, took me nearly a month as it happened over Christmas, so fingers crossed for you, good luck
