Beijing 2008 Olympiad

The lack of adverts in sports makes BBC viewing pretty nifty. I mean for most people ITV/Sky and/or Setanta are the most that people are going to get, and they're nothing compared to how ridiculous watching US sport is live.
 
The commentator said that some one else will have to ride the same horse.


I would laugh if that horse got the fastest time for the next person. :D
 
Grrrr the Tae Kwon Do is getting me angry. The Olympic rules and scoring have totally diluted the fighting. Constant indicating from the fighters would be instantly penalised in our national events and the scoring is laughable. Awarding points when the fighter doesn't even stay on their feet. Utter Bull.

I wont even go into the Hollywoods (Like watching premiership football) nor the constant stopping of fights so that trainers can run on to spray the fighters with cold spray - they need to toughen the hell up!!!

Just in case you're wondering why I think so - I used to be the Mens Heavy Weight national champion in New Zealand full contact - The Olympics take on this is pathetic.

I still haven't seen them, crappy NBC.
 
They apparently tested positive for capsaicin, which is the active "spicy" thing in chillies... i'd imagine it acts similarly to deep heat when put on the horses legs, i.e. it stops them cramping up and keeps it all going.
 
Good news

USA dropped baton in heats of 4x100m relay. :D



Bad news

Looks like Craig Pickering went to early and was over the line before getting the baton, defending champs may well be out :mad:

yep looks like we are completely out of this one - sounds like Pickering did go way too far before collecting the baton (he even admits it)

We were never going to get the Gold anyway (not saying Silver or Bronze wouldnt have been nice though)
 
Heh that was weird. iPlayer isn't streaming properly here at the moment, and all I saw in that relay was loads of people stood about scratching their heads, whilst 3 people took off down the final leg.
