Being: Liverpool - The first trailer of the new Liverpool FC documentary is out.

It looks absolutely fantastic, obviously if you're a Liverpool fan you'll really enjoy this but I'm sure all football fans will find this rather interesting. The trailer is well worth the watch.

It Premieres on 16th Sept in America, expect a similar date for when channel 5 show this.

Anyone else mucho excited??? :D

Nothing on the link

What's it about ?

It's a 6 part behind the scenes documentary, covering the back end of last season, through pre-season and into the start of this coming season.

I don't think it's going to be too different to what Liverpool's own TV channel and website (and I guess most other clubs) already show; it will just be more in depth and put together into one show rather than little snippets here and there.

Ahh think I will give that a miss then ;)

Was hoping it to be more about the Shankly Paisley era

Im a red and after watching the trailer i am looking forward to seeing a behind the scenes look at things from the kenny era to the here and now.Rodgers seems like a decent bloke who genuinely wants to help turn things around and build a good attractive attacking team which im all for I just hope he has the man management skills to put some backbone into a few of the players who i personally feel are just a waste of time and money namely Adam,Aqua and Downing.

I might watch this if I can catch it.
Is it likely to be on the ancient history channel & get repeated over and over again?

I watched the first episode of this earlier today.

I won't go into specifics as it's not been shown over here yet but as I expected, it's pretty unspectacular stuff - nothing like it was billed as.

Nope. The only awkward moment during the first episode is when Rodgers - whilst showing the cameras around his home - introduces his daughter's "special friend", who happens to be his assistants son.

I'm not sure if scripted would be the right word but there definitely wasn't anything in there that the club don't want showing. To be honest, it's mostly made up of interviews with Rodgers, the players and so on than an actual fly-on the wall type documentary.

Fair enough, I suppose it's to be expected really.

It's a shame modern football clubs are so big that they have to be like this really. I'm not asking for all the dirty linen to be aired, but every single official club website has a kind of Pravda feel to it, and that will inevitably dilute their actual usefulness, and distance fans from them a bit.

A bit of "no, we're not perfect" would be a great way of making big clubs seem human again.

Maybe it will get better in the later episodes - a snippet showing Rodgers having words with Sterling got leaked a while ago but even then, the cynic in me makes me think that was staged.

The sunderland documentary when they got in the prem and peter reid was manager was the best

his half time and full time team talks were brutal :D

*May contain swearing*
