Has anyone done this before, and it actually ended up working?

Currently been with my girlfriend for 3 months, we've been arguing constantly for the last 2 weeks so we are now 'on a break' from each other, apparently so we miss each other.

It's been such a short time we've been together I almost don't see the point, but i'm going with it for now. I think it's her easy way of ending it so that she doesn't have to face me and physically end it. Is it my cue to start looking around again, I feel like i'll be murdered if I do. :D

what's everyones opinions on breaks? Interested to know any outcomes you've had. :p

Yeah, sounds like it's over.

How old are the two of you?

BTW, cue: She's banging someone else:

Is it the week for breakups or something?
Mine was on the phone just now...
"You haven't called me all week"
Err.. you haven't called me either love..
"Well I don't think this is working out"
Nope, that's why I haven't called you
"Oh"
See you in town sometime then, kthkbye
Burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

:D:D

Oh, I love to feel love but I can't stand the rejection.
I hide behind my jokes, it's a form of protection.
I thought that I was right, but under further inspection,
It seems that I've been heading in the wrong direction.

My ex did this after nearly 5 years. I found someone else and 6 years later I'm due to marry in August whilst the ex is probably still bitter :p

Oh, and whilst a younger girlfriend seems appealing, the absolute head**** they provide through a combination of immaturity and just being female is not worth the effort imo ;)

You couldn't pay me to date an 18yr old. Teenage girls are the most annoying thing on the planet.

She is without doubt not "the one"...

A break is absolutely pointless, if you want a break for longer than say a night out or an afternoon with a friend, your probably with the wrong person.

I'm older now than the last time I was with one, but I'm sure they haven't changed much. Fun to be around in a... less than intellectual way.

Grating after a while though.

She's been with someone else and she likes him more than you. You won't be getting back together.

Ring her and tell her you are enjoying the break and would like to extend it to forever. Or just caught with your pants down.

Guarantee she has been getting a right good rodding from another guy who is "just a friend"

Just tell her its over while you can.
