Belfast meet

There we go, both of you have been added.

I've been wondering where we might start off. The first place that came to mind was Fibber Magees, the wee bar which backs onto Robinsons / The Crown on Great Victoria Street. How does that sound? Anyone got any other suggestions?

Fibbers is dead handy. If you get a train to Great Victoria Street and walk out of the station, it's just directly opposite the station behind the Crown bar.

Ahhhh thats not so bad then. I was thinking of booking a hotel and just staying there over night and then driving home the next day.

What ya think, good or bad idea?

Not a bad idea but if you're close to the train station in Lisburn it would probably be a hell of a lot cheaper to catch a train home. I think the last train is after midnight so you'll be grand to get that.

I live in Armagh don't forget, so i have to get home after that. Less stress just to get a hotel in belfast.

What ya reckon? Will the Hilton do the job :p

Ahh well now Armagh is another kettle of fish. Hotel is probably a good idea and if you're feeling flush, the Hilton can't be knocked :p

If you're really stuck, just take a dander down to the Holy Lands and walk into a random students house. They won't mind :p

If you need a lift I'm sure I can help you out.

Renshaws for a pint or 20 followed by Temps with the Pakistani DJ rapping off peoples take-away orders.

We'll be nowhere near those houls. Get your ass out of that student dive and come with us.

No night out in Belfast is complete without something indigestible (or already digested) from Temps.

I'd say a better idea is to head up to that Portable, Outdoor Lavery's in the grounds of City Hall. Hot whiskey and mulled cider make for a win/win situation.

and I don't know like. You know us students, always studying for those big exams (Read: Pro Evo 6 for the PS2)

That's not a bad idea bai, get full in Laverys and then get lifted for acting a lig in the grounds of city hall. Sounds like a plan. I'll be back there when I'm back, hard to beat those hot whiskeys.

Oh yes, an Air Traffic Controller gassed at 2pm in the afternoon is always reassuring for the future of UK aviation :p

Fibber Magees is a good choice. It's a nice place and your not too far from other places after that anyway.

I'm looking forward to some "normal" measures of vodka and coke when i'm home. :)
