F1, tyre preservation and cruise control DRS passes. This race I was looking forward to more than most but I'm already bored to tears, watching Alonso just cruise by in the DRS is not racing, this track doesn't need DRS at all.

You're forgetting the possibility of rain. You have to go very short or half race distant(possibility of rain just before 2 pm). You be mad to do anything else, if it rains and you are initially on a one stop you win, if it doesn't rain it's still marginally quicker.
