Belinea 2225S1W res problem

I have a Belinea 2225S1W monitor running off a ATI x800 (flashed to x850), now i was able to run the monitor at 1650x1080 up until i changed my mother board from a asus P5WDG2-WS PRO to a EVGA 680i. I did a clean install because i also fitted 2 WD raptor drives when i fitted the board. I am now only able to run then monitor up to 1440x900 without problems. If i select 1650x1080 i have to scroll the screen to see the rest of the desktop. I installed vista RC2 this afternoon and now the option for 1650x1080 has disappeared. I have the latest drivers from ati

please someone help me
 
it lists it as a Generic Non-PnP monitor, i did try and install the drives for the monitor but they won't under vista and did have them installed under xp
 
It should at least be recognised as a Plug and Play Monitor, that may be what's stopping Windows taking control as it were. See if you can select a Generic Plug and play monitor.

Is there no way to force Vista to use a P&P driver? I don't have Vista so I don't know but it seems daft to expect a monitor not to be P&P these days by default.

The only other thing I've heard of like this is a cable problem, are you using VGA or DVI, either way try a different cable and/or connection.
