I'm the annoyed owner of a Belkin F5D7000 Wireless G PCI card, and just installed Vista 64-bit on my new hard drive, wanting to finally move up to 64-bit. However, much to my annoyance, my version of the card is verson 6.000, and Belkin have only released 64-bit drivers for the version 7.000 drivers. I've tried installing these ones anyway, but perhaps unsurprisingly it didn't work, it still doesn't recognise the card.

I've sent an email of to Belkin, but is there anything else I can do, asides from either sticking to 32-bit or buying a new card?

I had the exact same card. What you need to do is have a look at the card and readwhat chipset it uses....as far as i can remember its a broamcom chipset. Just download either the dell drivers or the broadcom ones from googlin it and it will work!!!

Did for me anyway!!

Thanks for the help, though its a Ralink chipset. I'll give their drivers a go, and will be avoiding belkin in the future. Thanks.

And make a note for the future to never, ever buy Belkin networking kit again.

Belkin should stick to USB stuff, they're hopeless at networking.

many big brands change chipsets pretty often but dont change the product names or produce drivers for every OS and version. Dont avoid belkin just for that reason, in the past I have had the same issues with D-link, netgear and linksys!
