I've been looking through a few other forums and it seems that this could be a common problem, so my apologies if this is a rehashed topic.

I got a Belkin 802.11g Wireless G Desktop Network Card over Xmas and though it keeps the connection most of the time it drops the connection for apparently no reason occasionally. Is this a common problem with this card? Please don't tell me I'll have to get another! What settings should I fiddle with to make the connection more stable?

within our house we have one machine that uses a belkin g notebook adaptor, its the only machine that frequently encounters problems when dropping the connection.

We got an upgraded driver from belkin, doesnt do it as much but still has trouble.

I think belkin stuff has gone down hill a lot

I was afraid that someone would say that. It's been stable since about 8am this morning but I don't want to have the constant threat of disconnection hanging over me. We also have a Belkin router but we never really have problems with that.

If it happens a couple more times I'll probably get a Netgear card. Bloody pain in the arse, since we pay our money so that these products work, not so that we can give the companies cash for something that only partially works.
