Belkin W+ router, all wireless?

Bought a Belkin W+ DSL router today, got it working unsecured on the laptop, however the computer im trying to get it connected to is old and doesnt have a rj45 port, only USB/firewire.

When i put an adaptor into the PC it can see the belkin router but doesnt help.

any help greatly appreciated

Looks like the above post isn't clear at all.

The problem is that the belkin manual is telling me to manually plug in the main computer, via a RJ cable, the computer doesn't have this and untill now used a USB connection.
However I do have a spare adaptor, an old .b one, which the router says is compatable. the computer detects the router, but when trying to connect, comes up with an error.

You can get network cards for pretty much any machine (worth bothering with) for peanuts, but you're right, you aren't all that clear - posting the error might be a start...
