Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.

People in hollywood usually team up with actors/directors/screenwriters etc if they get on well with them (for creative, or other reasons). Speilberg has had tom cruise in quite a few of his productions, as another example.

Exactly, it's not what you know, it's who you know.

The Studios are hardly going to say no when they have a track record of doing movies that made money together

i love and hate this group, as well as adam sandlers group, i hate them as the films made are always always complete crap but do so well, but love them as atleast you can quickly find out if any other those actors are in the films to never waste your money or time watching the films.

I think they are awesome.

One example, http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ra70O9nps6E

Just love it when Owen tries to copy Ben's character. :D

without sounding like im insulting you or anyone who likes these guys, can you explain what it is you find funny about this scene? i watched it and it didn't reaise a smile and i can't see how it would for other people yet it does. Is it just because its them and they are portrayed as funny people so everyone assumes they are funny before they even see the stuff they are in? i know i do this often with say family guy, if i watch an episode expecting it to be funny i find so much in it funny but if i don't think it will be funny it never is so it is the same perhaps you expect them to be funny so prepare to laugh and then nothing happens funny but are so ready to be amused by it you are? if say 2 no body actors did that scene would you still find it as funny?

Didn't raise a smile from me either, although I do find Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller to be very funny in general.

It depends if they are as good as Stiller and Wilson. :p How can somebody give an accurate answer to that question as every actor will act the scene differently.

I don't find any of their films mind blowingly amazing or in the realms of being 'great' films. But everytime I sit down and watch one of their films, I have a really good time watching it. :p :D

I find them to be the filmic version of 'easy listening' - inoffensive, at times charming, but also throw-away! It's just disposable cinema.

Pretty much the same as Will Ferrell - except he's never charming, just disposable!
