well my 2nd HD6850 is due here this morning, and i have seen a lot of **official** threads for different apps, but none of them have a set res/settings so the results are really hard to compare. although im not that fussed by the results, as if it works it works, but would be nice. so really, my question is, what is a good resolution and settings to run thinks like ugeine heaven and 3d Mark on (3d mark 11 is trial version so im pretty sure this is fixed settings), Batman AA benchmark, lost planet 2......etc? run them at max everything or what i would expect to play at?

For Heaven, OcUK has a thread with comparable settings.

cheers for that :) other than heaven and 3dmark 11, is there anything else worth giving a bash or just play games and see how it feels?
i have heard of FRAPS which people use to monitor their ingame framerates, but have never used it myself, is this the best/easiest one to use?

Stone Giant in another good benchmark. Post your results at 1680x1050 with max settings but DoF turned off. (F4) Press enter to start the benchmark.

Fraps works well. Or if you use Msi Afterburner you can create an on screen display with. I use that and have: Fps, GPU Usage, temps and gpu mem usage showing.

Otherwise try some benchmarks in Metro 2033, Batman, Just Cause 2 etc and post up the results here. We can tell you if the performance is right.
