Benchmarking standards

Is there any sort of standard benchmark test for GPUs?

I read quite a lot of Tech power up reviews and like this one im not sure what settings are used in Unigine Heaven. Is it a custom run, extreme, or other?

There isnt much point benchmarking but then not detailing if one of the presets are used or if its a custom preset. I could have course be missing the info somewhere where it says "extreme present used"

It says this on Page 4 Test Setup "All games are set to their highest quality setting unless indicated otherwise." It would definitely be an improvement if the settings were actually detailed though.
