As some of you know, i run a hardware review site, and it's time to test some graphics cards.

Looking at games and applications to use i was looking at:

3dmark 06
3dmark vantage
arma 2
cod 4
crysis warhead
farcry 2
furmark
gta4
grid
stalker clear sky

I was going to test at 1280x1028, 1680x1050 and 1920x1080 to get a good comparison.

Would you run 3dmark06 and vantage at the higher resolutions or just at 1280x1024 as that is what most people run it at? Any games of applications that you'd take out, or add in?

Sadly, 3dMark06 only does 1280x1024 as standard unless you buy it.

Will add COH: Tales of Valour to my list too then.

And will test at all 3 res's.

Trying Acronis but it's only workign as a bootable disc on one of my machines hmmm odd.

I will be showing, lowest and highest and average

Google for 1156 motherboard though, you'll find us, we just did a socket 1156 Asus motherboard preview.

I made an acronis bootable image and it works fine on this computer, but not on the one i want to use it on, boots into it and then just freezes with the mouse pointer in the middle.

So i'm going to have to run Acronis in windows mode, which option do i want? I just need to back up the C Drive and be able to load it again.

Backup my computer? My Data? System state?

Where that? Backup wizard still asks if i want to back up the computer, the data or the state?

Ok problem.

Vantage only gives a 3dmark result if you do it at 1280x1024. Any ideas?

Or do you have to choose the preset to do it?

Ok, found out Vantage wont give me a score as my monitor does 1920x1080. Is there anyway to force it to do 1920x1200 to get a score until i sort out another monitor?
